Australian citizens, permanent residents and some eligible visa holders can study selected courses at no cost under Fee-Free TAFE, Smart and Skilled and equivalent state programs in NSW, QLD, WA and SA. Yes. Every course is delivered by a Registered Training Organisation under the Australian Qualifications Framework. Course codes such as CHC33021 and CHC30121 can be looked up on training.gov.au, and the qualification is recognised Australia-wide.

Most Certificate III courses do not require an IELTS score. The RTO runs a language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) check before enrolment instead. Requirements vary by course and provider — an advisor confirms yours before you apply.

A Certificate III typically takes 6–12 months and a Diploma 12–18 months. Most providers run one or two class days a week plus placement, which works alongside a job. Every course page states its schedule and placement hours.
